In response to increased demand for tamper-proof security seals, Talisman has increased its supply and stock holding capacity of high-strength security seals made with an aluminium cable and steel housing.
Talisman’s Cableloc product is designed for a variety of applications where strength to secure high-value items is required. A highly successful test marketing programme has confirmed high levels of demand for applications including valve lockout, chemical drums, lorry trailers, tankers, shipping containers and rail cars.
Nikki Ewers, business development manager at Talisman Plastics, said: “Cableloc is an ideal solution to securing lorry trailer doors and other logistical vehicles with its high breaking strength. We’ve supplied the new product to supermarkets to secure grocery delivery vans and lorries, and courier vehicles, keeping key workers’ transit secure.”
Talisman’s stock holding capabilities ensure the high-strength seal can be supplied with short lead times from its on-site stock facility at its premises in Worcestershire.
The heavy-duty Cableloc is available with cable diameters of 1.5mm, 3.5mm and 5mm, with a minimum tensile strength of 330kg, which on the 5mm product is raised to a breaking strength of 1900kg. The standard cable length is 300mm, but Talisman offer customisable lengths to suit customer requirements.
This user-friendly seal is completely tamperproof, as once cut, the cable will splay open, preventing reinsertion into the locking housing. It is also highly customisable. The locking body is available in a range of colours, and this can have unique numbers and text printed to a customer’s requirements.
